§ 5.02.010. Designated.

  • Certain types of businesses are found by the town council to require extraordinary types of investigation prior to issuance of a business license and/or extraordinary regulatory activity and/or to impose extraordinary requests for services upon the town. No person, company or corporation shall transact, own, conduct or operate any of the following types of business within the town without first obtaining a business license from the town and paying the license fee designated by town council resolution for the issuance of a special license for that category of business:

    A.

    Fairs, carnivals, circuses, street fairs or attractions or aggregations of attractions largely composed of games or feats of skill, feats of strength and/or motion apparatus as defined in Chapter 5.06;

    B.

    Theaters, tent shows and playhouses which do not have regular established place of business in the town as defined in Chapter 5.07;

    C.

    Fortunetellers and those engaged in the business of clairvoyance, psychic, astrologist, palmist or others claiming to read or foretell the past, present or future as defined in Chapter 5.08;

    D.

    Outdoor festivals as defined in Chapter 5.09;

    E.

    Junk dealers, pawnbrokers and secondhand dealers as defined in Chapter 5.10;

    F.

    Hawkers and peddlers as defined in Chapter 5.11;

    G.

    Bingo games as defined in Chapter 5.12;

    H.

    Solicitors as defined in Chapter 5.13;

    I.

    Kennels as defined in Chapter 5.15;

    J.

    Cardrooms as defined in Chapter 5.16;

    K.

    Tattoo artists and tattooing establishments as defined in Chapter 5.17;

    L.

    Masseur/masseuse and massage establishments as defined in Chapter 5.18;

    M.

    Taxicabs and rent cars as defined in Chapter 5.19;

    N.

    Sound trucks and sound amplifying equipment as defined in Chapter 5.20. (Ord. 129 §5.02.010, 1985)
